Brussels, 25 October 2022. The cleantech company SynPet Technologies today announces the recruitment of CFO Ahmet Eren. Mr. Eren will replace current interim CFO Kerim Nisel.
Kerim Nisel, currently CFO of Cem Ozsuer’s family company MAYA Holding and its subsidiary IKEA Turkey, has acted as interim CFO in the establishment of the new SynPet Holding SA, Belgium. He now passes on his duties to new CFO Ahmet Eren, who will be dedicated solely to SynPet Holding and its further expansion.
Mr. Eren earned his degree in Economics from Lehigh University/USA. After completing his education, Mr. Eren started working at Deutsche Bank as an Emerging Markets trader. Throughout his six years at Deutsche Bank, Mr. Eren traded Emerging Markets bonds and derivatives products with a focus on the Turkish market. He led the team that owned trading positions, daily settlements, risk and profitability and as an ALCO member, oversaw the local balance sheet, monitored risk, tracked liquidity ratios and managed daily cash flows.
Mr. Eren continued his investment banking career at J.P. Morgan & Chase with the title of Head of Treasury and Trading Departments for Turkey; in this role, he deepened his expertise in Emerging Markets while reporting directly to the local branch CEO. Mr. Eren played in a key role in growing the international client base of J.P. Morgan & Chase’s Emerging Markets Trading team, forging active ties with a range of reputable Asian, European and U.S. institutional investors and hedge funds.
After ten years in investment banking, Ahmet Eren is excited to take on new challenges as the CFO of SynPet Technologies.
